According to the International Business Times, Barcelona are set to let Arsenal target, Arda Turan, leave the club on a free transfer.
Barca’s new manager, Ernesto Valverde, doesn’t see Turan in his plans for this season and the 30-year-old has been linked with a move away all summer and despite his contract running out in 2020, they are prepared to let him go on a free transfer.
Valverde is looking to move on some players to decrease an already large squad with the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Andre Gomes and Rafinha being on the not needed list at Barca.
Turan only signed for Barcelona two years ago for £38m from Atletico Madrid, but after injuries and having better players in his position such as Sergio Busquets, Andreas Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic and Rafinha, his future at the Spanish giants is looking bleak.
Arsenal, Galatasaray and Inter Milan are the three main clubs linked with Turan’s services with Arsenal being one of the many clubs who were interested in the Turkey international before he joined Barcelona.
It has been reported that Turan is a huge Galatasaray fan but at the age of 30, he still has talent to offer as well as experience so a move to the Premier League could tempt the Turk.
