Barcelona stunner: Gerard Pique plans to quit the Nou Camp because of Shakira

BARCELONA star Gerard Pique is considering a move to America in 2018, according to reports.

Pique has been a big hit at Barcelona since re-signing for the club from Manchester United in 2008.
During that time he has won all trophies available to him for club and country, establishing himself as one of the world's best defenders in the process.
Even now, seven years on, he remains the club's defensive rock.

However, Spanish outlet Don Balon have claimed Pique is considering moving to the MLS after the 2018 World Cup in order to appease pop star wife Shakira.
She wants a calmer life away from Catalonia, with Pique often in the public eye due to his status as a footballer and the derogatory comments he regularly makes about Real Madrid.
The report says that the Barcelona star is torn between joining LA Galaxy or New York City.

Galaxy appeals due to the way David Beckham took it by storm after arriving from Real in 2007.
But New York City also tempts him, with former Barcelona and Spain team-mate David Villa currently plying his trade in the Big Apple.
