    Barca to offer Southampton £15million

Barcelona are not looking at just short term answers to the troublesome right back role.

Due to the injury to Aleix Vidal, Barcelona have been given the nod by La Liga to enter the transfer market.

They can either sign a player who is currently unattached, or they can purchase a player from the domestic market.

Their options according to Spanish media outlet Sport are Malaga's Roberto Rosales and Deportivo de la Coruna's Juanfran.

Neither side are likely to allow they players to leave for less than their contracted release clauses, 'Juanfran's case his release fee is 8m euros, while Rosales' is 6m.' according to Sport.

Barcelona see both players as low risk signings, content in the knowledge that if the signing doesn't work out during the second half of the season then Barca could easily sell them on in the summer and recoup their investment.

If that were to happen, then Barcelona are likely to dip into the transfer market in the summer to add options to Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal.

One person who has been linked with Camp Nou on a number of occasions is Southampton's Cedric Soares, despite British newspaper The Daily Telegraph claiming ' Soares is a shock name on the list of right-backs Barcelona are assessing'.

Over six months ago, back in July, Soares was regularly linked with a move to Barcelona.

But now Barcelona are weighing up a hefty bid, as according to the British paper Barca 'would have to offer at least £15m to tempt Southampton into entering negotiations regarding Soares.'
