Lionel Messi identifies Luis Suarez’s successor

Lionel Messi has asked Barcelona to sign one of Europe’s in-demand properties as a replacement for Luis Suarez from next season.

Barcelona are going to be in the transfer market during the off-season as their search for a successor to Luis Suarez continues. The Catalans have thought about a lot of names such as Marcus Rashford, Antoine Griezmann and Luka Jovic, but now Lionel Messi has come up with a great suggestion, reports Fox Sports. The Argentina international is Barcelona’s captain, but is considered beyond that and has a massive say in the club’s transfer matters. Furthermore, Barcelona’s seemingly slumbering board does not even seem to have the audacity to question Lionel Messi’s know-how and relies on his decisions regarding transfers.

Hirving Lozano is the suggested player to fill into Luis Suarez’s boots as the Uruguay international pulls closer to the dusk of his career. The Mexico international first grabbed headlines across the world courtesy of his performance against Germany at the FIFA World Cup, and since then, he has been observed closely by quite a few.
Naturally a striker, the PSV Eindhoven property is also capable of playing as a winger. His speed and skill, coupled with an indomitable nature make him a threat all around the final third. At just 23 years of age, Lozano has a long future ahead of him and could be an inexpensive option for Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid is another side that is interested in signing Lozano. The Mexican has impressed Diego Simeone and was on Real Madrid’s radar as well, though only for a short while. However, Barcelona could be considered frontrunners ahead of Atletico given their prestige and appealing quality. They have already seen Chucky in action when he faced them twice in this season’s UEFA Champions League’s group stage.
